In 2016, Maddy Niebauer founded vChief to provide flexible executive solutions for growing businesses. Starting with virtual part-time chiefs of staff, vChief expanded to offer COO and executive director support, catering to startups, nonprofits, and education organizations.
Under Maddy's leadership, vChief rapidly grew, achieving 7 and 8-figure milestones in 2019 and 2022, respectively. Recognized on the Inc. 5000 list for three consecutive years, vChief now boasts a team of 20 full-time and over 150 part-time members.
Maddy, a former chief of staff and vice president at Teach For America, brings a wealth of experience to vChief from roles in strategy consulting, tutoring center management, and Peace Corps service in Ivory Coast. Committed to work-life balance, she implemented a 4-day work week at vChief.
As a mother of three, Maddy embraces a holistic approach to life. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor adventures like hiking, camping, boating, skiing, and exploring new places with loved ones.
